THE SYSTEM FOR EFFICIENT WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT
With ‘FactWork.Warehouse’, a newly developed management system for warehouses of any size with cross-client organisation is now available, which enables a completely paperless way of working.
The underlying software is based on a standard solution that can be flexibly adapted to individual customer requirements and easily integrated into other ERP systems.
From practice for practice: As an automation specialist, we at F.EE know what is important when it comes to efficient warehouse management and use FactWork.Warehouse ourselves. We therefore guarantee our customers continuous, practice-orientated further development of the system.
How FactWork.Warehouse works
Storage and retrieval processes are started in the ERP system and automatically posted once they have been completed.
As an alternative to putaway, FactWork.Warehouse enables both the project-specific allocation of ordered materials and the direct allocation to production orders for production by means of quantity distribution.
When the items are put away, the corresponding storage compartment is flexibly assigned to a client, a FactWork warehouse and any compartment type (e.g. standard or provided storage) via FactWork.Warehouse.
A stock removal is based on a material requisition or a production order for production and a delivery note or external production delivery note for dispatch.
All material movements and stock corrections are recorded using mobile data recording devices - so-called ‘PDAs’ (Personal Digital Assistants). The assignment and contents of a storage compartment can be queried via the PDA and print jobs for any labels required can be started.
Open storage and retrieval orders are displayed via a central control station monitor, whereby the sequence can be prioritised.
A booking history lists the stock changes made.
FLEXIBLE STORAGE STRATEGIES
Serial and batch numbers are taken into account.
Stock is retrieved according to the FIFO principle (first in - first out). Alternatively, the simple, script-based implementation of a customised storage strategy is possible.
Stocktaking? Yes, but efficiently.
FactWork.Warehouse also simplifies the stocktaking process enormously: a storage compartment confirmed as empty is counted via the zero-crossing inventory.
The inventory of compartments that have not yet been counted is route-optimised. This saves time, effort and costs.
For optimum storage utilisation
Storage bin optimised: Each storage location can be used ad hoc as required with regard to client, warehouse and compartment type.
Route-optimised: For storage and retrieval.
Space-optimised: If items are already in stock, the corresponding storage compartment is suggested for putaway. If the item is stored in several compartments, FactWork.Warehouse recommends the compartment with the stock that best matches the requirement for stock removal.
Summarisation suggestions: Fragmented remaining stock can be consolidated.
